I've just come home from watching the movie, Thor, at the cinemas.

What a fun film!

Here we have Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Now thankfully the casting was sound as with a movie such as this you need to suspend a bit of disbelief to really get into it.
Chris allows you to do this as everything is explained along the way throughout the movie.

In the role of Jane Foster is Natalie Portman, who just oozes the feeling of being unlucky in love.
Perhaps she'll find a comic book nerd who'll sweep her off her feet?
Or better yet, perhaps Thor will step up to do this?

You'll need to see the movie to find out.

Odin, the all-father, is played by Anthony Hopkins.
He's portrayal is somewhat colour-by-numbers. He does a good job of it.

He was also critical of the director (Kenneth Branagh) and of Chris throughout the production.
Don't let this distract you from enjoying Hopkins' performance, as it is sound.

And then we have Thor's half-brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
I very much liked Loki's part in the movie and thought Tom was great in the role. Tom doesn't play up being the God of Mischief, which is good.
Loki's role is, somewhat complex.
It certainly makes for an interesting story.

And if Natalie Portman hotting up the place wasn't enough, there's also Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander).
Yummy!

Kat Dennings also appears in the film but I'll let you google her yourself. Or better yet, go see the movie and you can oogle her! haha.

All up this is a very good film.

The only criticism I can give, and I highly recommend you take this onboard. See the 2D screening.

I saw the 3D screening and with the amount of dark scenes in the film there was a fair amount lost in transition.

All up I give this movie 8 out of 10. It's top quality entertainment.

The Road

I watched this movie on Friday night after a long week of work. I needed something to take my mind off the week's work.

This movie certainly didn't help.

Now admittedly I hadn't seen anything about this movie when it came out, except maybe the movie poster. I didn't know it was based on a book. I hadn't even seen the trailer. I'd just heard that it was a remarkable film so I thought I'd give it a go.

I was wanting something a little more fun, I guess. This movie certainly isn't fun.

Here we have Viggo, who plays the Dad in the film.

I heard his wife call him John once, but for the most part he's just referred to as "Papa" by his son.

Here's his son, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Much like the other characters in the film, he doesn't have a name. That's how bleak things are in this movie.

Thankfully the above image was from one scene I did like, where the father and son stumble on an underground bunker. At least that scene was somewhat optimistic.

The rest of the movie you watch them do this.

Walk.

They do a lot of walking, and not a lot of talking.

There's flashback scenes to before they hit the road, and as you can see the role of the mother is played by Charlize Theron.

As the movie progresses you find out what happens to her.

Urgh. No thank you.

Robert Duvall is in the movie for a few scenes, and he was interesting to watch. By this time though things were looking so bad for the central characters I was dreading what was coming next.

I'd heard Guy Pearce was in this movie and wondered when he'd turn up.

When he finally did though I was almost ready to pack it in. The movie was just too bleak and horrific for me.

As a family man it was almost unwatchable.

Then the end credits hit and I discovered the movie was directed by John Hillcoat, who also directed The Proposition.

That's when I realised why Guy Pearce was in this movie. Guy was the central character in The Proposition.

Again, another bleak movie. At least it wasn't too horrific.

Well, not as horrific as The Road.

I can understand why people wanted to see it. Viggo always gives 100% to the movies he appears in, so there's that.

Visually it's a stunning movie. How they did some of the scenes I'll never know.

From that point of view I will give it praise.

The characters are complex, very complex. No wonder the films showcasing some big name actors.

If you're wanting a "Friday night fun film" though, you'll need to look elsewhere.

All up I give this movie 7 stars.

Black Swan

My wife and I had been wanting to see this movie for a while, and it was one of those movies that we'd wanted to see when it was out at the cinema.

I was able to get a copy of it on DVD and so we watched it the other night.

We're both glad we didn't pay to see the film.

Don't let the label of "art house movie" fool you. This is just another dirty movie. Now I'm no prude, but after watching this film I'm convinced it's this generation's answer to the movie Showgirls. About half way through the film my wife and I were wondering if this was written by a horny 14 year old boy.

Here we have Nina (Natalie Portman), a ballet dancer who has been given the chance of a lifetime. To headline Swan Lake.

And here we have Lily (Mila Kunis), also a ballet dancer. And wow, wait for it, she wants the lead role also. What a plot twist!

That's about it for the story, because what follows is one sex-scene after the next. It's like the writer found out who had been cast in this movie and then thought, "okay, what can I have them do in this scene?"

Here's Thomas Leroy(Vincent Cassel), the director of Swan Lake. I've seen Vincent in a few movies and I knew what to expect. He does give a good performance in this movie, despite the dialogue.

As I wrote, this movie is all about sex, with some spattering of ballet here and there. Not to mention the fancy use of camera-work. If you do some fancy camera work in a movie and claim it's a arthouse movie, then you can pretty much show whatever you like. Even if the movie was written by a horny teenage boy.

Beth Macintyre (Winona Ryder) also gives a good performance as the retiring ballet superstar. Her role is somewhat diminished. Perhaps she refuses to get her gear off so they cut her scenes back? Who knows? Watch this movie if you're on school holidays and the parents have gone to bed for the night. Otherwise there's no other real reason to watch. 3 out of 10 stars. Until next time!

Interview with... Cherry Brady

I forget how I came about knowing of Cherry Brady and her work. And if anyone asks, I'll draw a mental blank. :) Cherry works in the adult industry and as her site states, she's having a lot of fun. I started out as a fluffer and worked/sucked my way to the top.... at least that's how I like to imagine it. LOL! :) For reals though, I took some pics of myself back in 2002 and sent them to The Score Group who publishes my all time favorite magazine, Voluptuous. A week later I received a call from them and made arrangements to fly out to Miami and model with them. By February 2003, I was on my first cover of that great magazine... and the rest is history. They have been a great starting point and have treated me well. I would recommend them to any aspiring big boob model. 2. What was it about appearing in adult films that appealed to you? Adult films have always been appealing to me. I love 80's porn with the big budgets, wardrobes, and plot. In the 90's the big porn producers got away from that. It was apparent that every guy with a hand held video cam could hire an escort, shoot the experience, then, as crude as the cinematography and editing was, STILL could sell it. Other major porn producers had to fall into suit to keep up with the flood of amateur/low budget producers out there. So I saw a decline in the quality of material being put there. We have now come back to big budget porn now, and now, we have both, which is great. When I first started, I wanted to bring at least the set-up element to my scenes. I hate when scenes just start out with the sex. I like to know the story behind why the two started screwing around... a little build-up, foreplay with porn... you know?! I thought I'd add a little set-up in my scenes. I knew they weren't ready for full blown plot, but at least I could inject a little something as a throwback to the 80's. 3. There are many sub-genres in adult films, such as fantasy, fetish, group, etc. Which is a personal favourite? I like blow job scenes a lot. That always gets me wet. But, I am very partial to my own genre of big natural tits / natural body types of porn. Generally, in the big natural tits genre, we get to see just that - girls with big natural tits presented in all their natural glory showing off their goods to be adored by boob lovers everywhere. They are getting the due respect they deserve. I do hate the degradation stuff where they write stuff on the girl's forehead and treat them like shit on film. I can hardly stand to see my big boobed sisters being degraded like that. However, I do understand that it is all in jest and I get it... I just don't like it.
